An Interview with Mary Dean Parker

Mary Dean Parker is the initial spiritual spark, igniting the Light that built the foundation of Akashic Record Consultants International (ARCI). Her true essence and gifted soul embody the spiritual focal point for multitudes, who find new aspects of growth, insight, and wisdom by working with the rewarding path of the Akashic Records. This interview was conducted on November 9, 2006.
 

EL: How would you describe your beginnings with the Akashic Records work? How were you called to this path?

MP: When I first learned to do the Akashic Records work, I did not think that I would ever really use it in my life except just for me. I knew that I was called to do it on a grander scale when I stood up one day at a little stream up in the mountains. I said something to the effect of, ‘I have the time and I have the money to be of service to God right now, but I don’t know where to put that or what to do with it.’ I did some readings for people, and the path and calling became clear.

I was on a journey visiting a friend, and I did some readings. The people I read for wanted a class, so that’s how the classes got started. The first class was held in Alamogordo, New Mexico, and from there on the classes were propelled by word of mouth. I taught in Albuquerque, and I can’t even remember all the places! We pretty much covered the middle part of the United States… That was in the 1970’s.
 

EL: What do you love about working in the Records?

MP: The Akashic Records bring about a focus in an area of peace and a feeling of just, tender love in me each time I open them, and they sustain me very eloquently in a very gentle, loving manner (whether I open for myself or for other people). I have a sense of almost being in the presence of God, or at least being in the presence of His representatives when I talk to the Record Keepers.

Too, it is always a wonderful feeling to know that I didn’t do anything, that I was just the messenger. I don’t have to take any credit or responsibility for what people do with the information given to them through the Records. It’s a freeing thing to be able to do.
 

EL: Have you had any outstanding experiences from working in the Records that you would like to share?

MP: Well, a couple of experiences come to mind… The first happened when I was with a young man in California who was extremely bored with his life. He invited me out to dinner while we were doing a reading, and the Record Keepers told me to keep his Records open. We wound up being chased all over Santa Monica and part of Los Angeles by criminals!

The guys that chased us, we found out later, had killed some people, and we just happened upon them while the murder was in progress. We looked all over for a patrol car, but couldn’t find one, so we ended up stopping at a police station in L. A. We told the police what happened, and they went back to the scene of the crime.

When we got back to our room, I still had the young man’s Records open, so I asked him, ‘Well, are you bored now?’ And he said, ‘Oh, I’ll never state that again to somebody who is reading my Records!’

The other experience happened when a friend and I were on a trip to Arizona and New Mexico. We spent a night in a town; I don’t remember the name of it. We planned to get up the next morning and go to Canyon de Chelly, which has little pueblos in the rock faces around its canyon walls.

I was awakened in the middle of the night, and I knew it was the Records that woke me, though I didn’t have the Records open formally. It was a real alerting thing that woke me up and said, ‘You have to go home right now!’ So I went back to Albuquerque, and that night we were watching the news, and that whole area had been flooded. In that canyon, two cars had washed away and people were killed. I then felt another thing that the Akashic Records offer—actual physical protection.
 

EL: How would you describe the rewards that this work has brought you?

MP: The Universe took a little old West Texas housewife and put her into the world being of service to people in a way that I never knew was even possible for me. I was drawn into circumstances that were uplifting and had adventures that were very beautiful… I don’t know where I would be today if it weren’t for the Records. I’d probably just be sitting around and rocking in a rocking chair… I was taken far beyond any capabilities, and I’m not sure I would have discovered those capabilities had I not gotten involved with the Records. It has truly been a great blessing.
 

EL: How have the Akashic Records helped you in your life?

MP: This work has taken me far beyond any capabilities I had before. I’m not sure that I would ever have discovered these capabilities had I not gotten involved with the Records. This has truly been a blessing. I’ve done things I never thought I was capable of. The Records just took me out of my own little boxed-in world, and propelled me out into the big world. Traveling the realms in the Records has been a grand adventure.
 

EL: What is your wish and dream for all those who work with the Akashic Records?

MP: My wish is that people will honor the energy that is there and keep it pure. By pure, I mean that they should make sure they are clear and clean within themselves before they work for other people or for themselves. They need to make sure that their information is accurate and to remember to keep it simple, not get too complicated. The Records are a great tool for clients when you answer their questions and don’t get yourself involved in their questioning. I would like to see the work done that way all the time. That’s the way the work was given to me, and I’ve seen the results, I’ve seen a lot of people use the Records that way, and I’ve seen the blessings that the method has given them and other people.

I hope that people will take and place a value on the Records work. There is a beautiful, loving thing that comes in. It doesn’t matter what your religion is, what your philosophical beliefs are; but the blessings of this work can be given to you.

We sometimes wish we could go home to our spiritual home. You’ll know that you’re in it right here on this earth. The people you work with will know that they are in it also. So keep the Spirit in it. Keep it filled with Spirit and Love. Always love the people you’re working with. Don’t judge them.

The greatest happiness I get is when I hear from someone who has found a different way through the Records that has brought their life into a new perspective that is very beneficial for them.
 

EL: Why has the ARCI organization been established?

MP: I’ve asked myself that question many, many times. The sense that I get is that the Akashic Records work is a tool that everybody has lying dormant in their being, and they just don’t know how to access it. Everybody accesses it without realizing what is being accessed, sometimes. ARCI teaches a way to go in and not just do it hither and yon, but really be focused into that energy. I think the Akashic Records were given to humanity at this time to help us recognize that there is a place of peace no matter what is going on around us; and this peace goes with us wherever we go.

There is one other goal I see... Akashic Records information has been on the earth a number of times. It has been given to people, and they have used it sometimes for their own aggrandizement. The information is on the planet again now. It came in at a time when none of the things that are going on today were happening. I believe we were given ARCI as an extra support system to carry us through these hard times. It keeps us present with Spirit, so that even if we may not go to Iraq or do any of the things personally that are going on in the world, it gives us a reminder constantly that this is being recorded somewhere and that we can send love and Light into the stress that is on the planet now. We need to bring this blessing into the world to the fullest capabilities that we have, so that people can use it for themselves, if for no other reason.

And that is one reason why I am interested in teaching a very strong Level I class again. This is the basis of what people need to assist themselves in times of trouble.

The Akashic Records work is not linked to any religion or philosophy; it is a free thing that Spirit has given us to grow within our hearts, and it works within our hearts so we can hold a strong peace for ourselves and for our loved ones in the world.
